Gold Price Plummets! Spot Gold Drops Below $3,950, First Time Since Early November 2025

The price of spot gold experienced a sharp, rapid decline, falling below the $3,950 per ounce mark for the first time since the beginning of November 2025.

During early trading on June 30th, spot gold prices plunged in a straight line, breaching the $3,950 per ounce level. This marks the first instance the metal has traded below this key threshold since early November 2025.

As of the latest update, the decline in spot gold has continued. The metal is currently trading at $3,958.68 per ounce, representing a daily drop of 1.42%.

Similarly, COMEX gold futures are down 1.44% for the day, currently priced at $3,981.9 per ounce.

The sell-off extended to other precious metals. Spot silver also retreated, falling to $56.879 per ounce with a daily loss exceeding 2%.

International precious metal futures are broadly lower across the board.

Simultaneously, the Japanese yen continues to face intense depreciation pressure. The US dollar has broken above the 162 yen level (USD/JPY), a milestone not seen since December 1986.
