CH AGRI-PROD EX FY2026 ESG Report: 12% Greenhouse-Gas Reduction, Gender Diversity at 43%, HK$1.29 Million Community Investment

China Agri-Products Exchange Limited (CH AGRI-PROD EX, 00149) released its 10th Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report covering FY2026 (1 Apr 2025–31 Mar 2026) for its 10 agricultural product exchange markets, 13 wet markets (excluded from environmental data) and one Shenzhen office.

Environment • Greenhouse-gas emissions fell 12% year on year to 42,851 tCO2e, driven by lower electricity use; Scope 2 emissions represented 89% of the total. • Total energy consumption decreased 12% to 72,141 MWh; energy-use intensity stood at 0.19 MWh per HK$1,000 revenue. • Water consumption slipped to 2.31 million m³; sewage discharge dropped 63% to 432,722 tonnes after market disposal and recycling upgrades. • Non-hazardous waste fell 27% to 57,013 tonnes; no hazardous waste was generated. • 2030 targets (base year FY2022): cut GHG intensity by 5%, waste intensity by 3% and energy-consumption intensity by 8%.

Social • Headcount totalled 711 full-time employees, 43% of whom are women. • Employee turnover rate reached 35%; average training time was four hours per trained employee, with 2,903 training hours delivered. • Around 1,189 hours of safety training were provided; the company reported zero work-related fatalities for the third consecutive year. • Community contributions amounted to HK$1.29 million, supporting education, disaster relief and rural revitalisation projects.

Governance • The Board holds ultimate responsibility for ESG matters and delegates oversight to a Safety, Health, Environment and ESG Committee. • No material non-compliance was identified in environmental, labour or health-and-safety regulations; no corruption cases were concluded against the company or its staff. • Anti-corruption training totalled 80 hours; a whistleblowing mechanism and strict supplier declarations are in place. • The group managed 495 key suppliers, all located in mainland China, and applies green-procurement criteria.

Looking Ahead The company plans to expand disclosure to Scope 3 emissions, phase in LED lighting, adopt renewable energy and lower refrigerant global-warming potential, aiming to meet its 2030 environmental targets while continuing to strengthen governance and stakeholder engagement.
