LUZHU BIOTECH-B (02480) has announced that its group-developed recombinant respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine has been approved by the National Medical Products Administration of the People's Republic of China to commence clinical trials in China.

The product is a recombinant protein vaccine candidate independently developed by the group for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) caused by RSV.

It is a liquid formulation aluminum-adjuvanted vaccine that utilizes the RSV pre-fusion F (Pre-F) protein antigen.

The approval of this clinical trial has laid a solid foundation for the group's subsequent development of recombinant protein vaccine candidates.
