McDonald's China has officially launched its 2026 National Recruitment Week. This year, McDonald's expects to recruit approximately 20,000 employees in the Beijing market. Ahead of the recruitment week, the company held a corporate open day event at its Chaoyang Park South Road restaurant in Beijing, themed around digital and intelligent empowerment for high-quality employment. Representatives from schools including Peking University and Tsinghua University were invited to attend. On the afternoon of May 18th, Beijing McDonald's held another open day with the same theme. Representatives from institutions such as the China Agricultural University's School of Economics and Management and the Beijing Forestry University's School of Biological Sciences and Technology participated, engaging in in-depth discussions on topics like career choices and growth paths for young people in the AI era. During the event, Beijing McDonald's signed cooperation agreements with three universities, establishing joint talent training and employment internship bases to better connect corporate talent needs with student career development. To date, Beijing McDonald's has deepened cooperation with nearly 60 universities across Beijing, Shanxi, and Hebei. A recent report by McDonald's China indicated that 75% of young respondents prioritize job stability in the face of the AI wave, valuing both stable income and genuine growth opportunities. Wang Guangyi, Senior General Manager of Beijing McDonald's, stated that the company will continue to focus on strengthening its employer brand, deepening school-enterprise collaboration, and building a talent supply chain. The company aims to continuously improve its talent development system, focusing on talent development across three levels: senior management reserves, middle management cultivation, and junior-level recruitment, to fully support young students in realizing their professional value. Currently, McDonald's collaborates with over 730 universities nationwide on school-enterprise partnerships and actively participates in nearly 500 projects under the Ministry of Education's "Supply-Demand Matching Employment Education Program." These collaborations cover various areas, including targeted talent training, employment internships, and the establishment of practice bases. In recent years, McDonald's has helped over 25,000 young people secure employment, with more than 6,000 starting their careers at McDonald's through targeted training programs.
