CZ Warns More AI-Powered Hacking Attacks Could Lie Ahead

Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao warned that artificial intelligence (AI) could unleash more cyberattacks against cryptocurrency exchanges and banks, following last week’s $6.3 billion theft from Binance.

“The industry needs to use AI to prevent AI hacks,” Zhao said in an exclusive interview with CoinDesk. “There's no other way.”

Zhao, who no longer runs Binance, said hackers were gaining access to AOI capabilities faster than financial institutions could deploy them to protect their systems.

Ethereum breaks descending trendline against Bitcoin despite ETF outflows

Ethereum has broken above a descending trendline against Bitcoin, prompting bullish sentiment from prominent traders despite ongoing capital withdrawals from U.S. spot exchange-traded funds. This shift highlights a growing focus on technical chart structures over short-term fund flows as the broader market attempts to recover from October losses.

Technical charts show differing bullish signals for ETH/BTC

On Binance daily charts shared by Max Crypto on November 3, the ETH/BTC pair traded near 0.02955 after pushing through a falling resistance line originating from earlier highs above 0.033. The pair spent several sessions around the 0.029 mark before green candles carried it past the descending barrier, leading the analyst to declare that the downtrend is over.

NEAR governance approves proposal to cut token issuance ceiling to 1.6%

NEAR Protocol's House of Stake governance body has approved a proposal to lower the network's maximum annual issuance rate from 2.5% to 1.6% over 24 months. 

HSP-029, which passed the ballot on Monday with overwhelming support, retains the existing 90/10 split of newly issued tokens between staking participants and the protocol treasury, and changes only that single protocol parameter. This would not alter the emissions mechanism.

Once implemented, the issuance ceiling declines each epoch linearly at roughly 3.75 basis points per month, reaching the 1.6% target at the 24th month. This is essentially to slow dilution and reduce long-term sell pressure of the NEAR token , as the network said its bootstrapping phase is largely over.

Bitcoin & Ethereum Spot ETF Flow

The overall net outflow of the US Bitcoin spot ETF on Tuesday was $115.56 million. The total net asset value of Bitcoin spot ETFs is $99.16 billion, and the ETF net asset ratio (market value compared to total Bitcoin market value) is 6.33%.

The Bitcoin spot ETF with the highest net outflow on November 3 was iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), with a net outflow of $94.98 million, according to SoSoValue.

The overall net outflow of the US Ethereum spot ETF on Tuesday was $85.35 million. The total net asset value of Ethereum spot ETFs is $13.32 billion, and the ETF net asset ratio (market value compared to total Ethereum market value) is 4.76%.

The Ethereum spot ETF with the highest net outflow on November 3 was iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), with a net outflow of $74.44 million, according to SoSoValue.
