At the 2025 China High-Tech Forum, Chen Jianquan, Head of Investor Relations at UBTECH ROBOTICS, highlighted that embodied intelligence is still in its developmental phase, transitioning toward industrial application trials.

During the "Embodied Intelligence Industry Investment Roundtable," moderated by Yao Ningbo, Managing Director of Kailian Capital, Chen emphasized that upstream supply chains in the primary market present significant opportunities due to relatively lower valuations compared to core companies. However, he noted that selecting supply chain partners requires careful evaluation of their R&D capabilities, understanding of embodied intelligence, and alignment with the humanoid robotics ecosystem.

From a secondary market perspective, Chen stressed the importance of sustainable order execution and competitive moats in assessing companies.

Addressing how entrepreneurs can capitalize on this trend, Chen advised staying committed to unique technological strengths. "Do not abandon your original vision due to temporary setbacks," he said, citing Tesla's role as an industry leader that helped shape China's humanoid robot supply chain. "Tesla's emergence demonstrated the potential for humanoid robots to become a thriving industry, much like new energy vehicles."

Chen also discussed challenges in achieving true embodied intelligence, noting that current synthetic data alone is insufficient for solving real-world problems. He compared the evolution to autonomous driving, where real-world data collection is critical for breakthroughs.

In terms of timeline, Chen predicted that niche applications, such as palletizing, could achieve generalization with 500–1,000 robots, while broader industrial adoption may take a decade. His closing advice to startups: "Persist with your technological roadmap—Tesla’s impact proves that perseverance pays off."
