Kaspi.kz (KSPI) shares surged 5.18% in pre-market trading on Monday, following the release of the company's second-quarter financial results.
The rally was driven by a better-than-expected earnings report and a correction to the initial revenue figures. Kaspi.kz reported earnings of $2.87 per share, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $2.78. Additionally, a corrected revenue figure showed Q2 revenue of 1.112 trillion Kazakhstani tenge, surpassing the FactSet estimate of 1.108 trillion tenge, after an earlier flash headline had incorrectly indicated a miss.
The combination of the earnings beat and the revenue beat helped alleviate investor concerns and fueled the upward move in the pre-market session.
