Shares of Knowledge Atlas (HKEX: 02513) experienced a significant early surge, rising nearly 8% at the open and currently holding gains of over 6%, with trading volume exceeding HK$3.5 billion.
The price movement follows the release of an internal letter over the weekend by the company's founder, Tang Jie, outlining the firm's perspective on the forthcoming competition in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).
In the letter, Tang Jie stated that Knowledge Atlas will continue to pursue what he termed a 'counter-intuitive' path by launching a 'Touch High Plan.' This initiative involves a continued primary focus on AGI research rather than on seeking short-term commercial gains.
Tang Jie described the journey to AGI as requiring the scaling of several critical peaks, which he identified as the most turbulent areas of the current technological wave. He listed four key challenges: Long Horizon Tasks, Autonomous Agent Systems, Fully Self-Training, and Ultimate Safety Governance.
