DeTai New Energy Group Limited (HKEX: 00559) has disclosed that, based on a fresh review under Section 329 of Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Ordinance, the company had no shareholder owning 10% or more of its issued shares as at 24 March 2026.

The board initiated an ownership verification by sending enquiries to CCASS participants holding at least 0.3% of its shares—entities that collectively represented about 91.08 % of the company’s outstanding share capital on the reference date. All recipients replied, and none reported any individual or entity meeting the 10 % “substantial shareholder” threshold other than HKSCC Nominees Limited, which holds shares on behalf of multiple clients.

A parallel enquiry was issued to former largest shareholder Mr. Tong Liang, who last disclosed a 28.06 % stake (146.82 million shares) on 13 June 2018. As of the announcement date, Mr. Tong had not responded, leading the board to conclude he no longer holds a substantial position.

Trading in DeTai New Energy’s shares has been suspended since 9:00 a.m. on 13 April 2026 and will remain halted until further notice. The company stated it will release additional updates in accordance with Hong Kong Listing Rules and advised investors to exercise caution when dealing in its securities.

The board currently comprises one executive director (Chairman Wong Siu Keung Joe), one non-executive director (Chu Yin Yin Georgiana) and three independent non-executive directors (Chiu Wai On, Man Kwok Leung and To Chun Wai).
