JENSCARE-B (09877) has announced the successful completion of the first clinical study for its iJensRobo robot-assisted transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) system. The first patient procedure using the iJensRobo robot-assisted TTVR system was recently conducted in Hong Kong. During the surgery, the company's system was utilized to successfully implant a LuX-Valve Plus prosthesis in a patient suffering from severe tricuspid regurgitation. Post-operative ultrasound imaging confirmed the complete elimination of tricuspid regurgitation, with no paravalvular leakage observed. The LuX-Valve Plus prosthetic valve was securely anchored and demonstrated excellent stability. The iJensRobo system represents the company's innovative robot-assisted interventional therapy platform, designed to deliver enhanced precision, stability, and controllability for TTVR procedures. By integrating high-precision motion control, an active safety restraint mechanism, and intelligent navigation technology, the iJensRobo robot-assisted TTVR system enables stable and refined instrument manipulation, thereby supporting the safety and reliability of critical procedural steps. Compared to conventional manual techniques, the system helps mitigate potential issues arising from minor hand tremors, variations in operational range, and spatial positioning deviations. It also improves operational stability and consistency by providing structured guidance for key procedural phases. Furthermore, the system incorporates real-time control and safety limitation mechanisms, which help reduce risks associated with instrument deviation, operational errors, and unstable movement paths during complex procedures, while also lessening reliance on the surgeon's individual experience. In terms of system architecture, the platform employs a master-slave control design, which can reduce the operator's radiation exposure during surgery, thereby improving occupational health safety. Additionally, the system features integrated remote operation capabilities, holding potential for supporting cross-regional surgical collaboration and remote training.
