Sino-Platinum Metals Co.,Ltd. (600459.SH) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Guiyan Resources (Yimen) Co., Ltd., intends to invest approximately 104 million yuan to build a pilot base for recycling retired photovoltaic modules on its existing factory site.

The project aims to establish a key pilot base in the retired photovoltaic module recycling sector, creating a standardized and efficient system for solar panel recovery. This initiative is designed to promote the clustering and standardization of the regional photovoltaic recycling industry, enhance industrial chain coordination and resource security, and lay a solid foundation for the large-scale implementation and promotion of subsequent projects, supporting the group's high-quality development goals under the "15th Five-Year Plan."

The project, with a construction period of about 12 months, represents a key practical step for the company to proactively serve the national "dual carbon" strategy and fully implement the concept of a green circular economy. It serves as a core means to expand the company's resource recycling business and enhance industrial chain resilience. As the company's first pilot project in the photovoltaic recycling field, it holds significant pioneering and demonstrative importance for exploring a full-chain recycling pathway, building a complete recycling business model, and accumulating operational experience.

Leveraging Guiyan Resources' deep expertise in precious metals recycling, the project will focus on the refining and recovery of valuable metals like silver from retired photovoltaic modules. It aims to create a closed-loop full industrial chain covering "retired modules, disassembly and sorting, precious metal regeneration, and by-product sales." Through the pilot system, the company will verify core processes and key data such as operational costs, proactively mitigate engineering risks related to technology adaptation, equipment matching, and investment, and accumulate comprehensive technical reserves and operational experience for future capacity expansion projects. This initiative simultaneously fills a gap in the company's photovoltaic recycling layout and further cultivates a new growth pole in the circular economy sector.
