On October 21, following 168 hours of full-load trial operation, the Unit 4 of the Phase II project at the China Shenhua Jiujiang Power Plant in Jiangxi officially began operations. This milestone signifies that all four 1 million kilowatt coal-fired generating units at the plant are now operational, bringing the total installed capacity to 4 million kilowatts. This makes the facility the first in central China to operate four units of this capacity and the largest clean coal power enterprise in Jiangxi Province. The Phase II project of the China Shenhua Jiujiang Power Plant is the first clean coal power project completed during Jiangxi's 14th Five-Year Plan period. The phase includes the construction of two 1 million kilowatt coal-fired units, financed by the State Energy Group.

The project integrates 58 leading domestic technologies, including equipment like magnetic levitation oxidation fans that achieve ultra-low emissions of atmospheric pollutants, along with advanced technologies for deep processing of circulating water to ensure zero discharge from the plant’s water system. These innovations provide engineering demonstrations and practical benchmarks for the power industry's "five-new" technology system. Reports indicate that simultaneous operation of the four units can generate over 24 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, which will enhance Jiangxi's energy supply security and significantly bolster the power supply capacity in central China, thereby providing strong support for local economic and social development.
