During the New Year holiday, Heilongjiang and Xinjiang unveiled exciting new winter tourism activities. In Yichun, Heilongjiang, an ice dragon boat race and other recreational events were held. On the frozen Wuma River, competing teams paddled in unison, sending the ice boats speeding across the surface. In the leisure area, a massive snow slide stretching over 200 meters was a major crowd-pleaser. After working up an appetite, visitors could feast in the food zone, enjoying complimentary iron pot stew and whole roasted lamb. At Yudaihe Park in Beitun City, Xinjiang, a grand polar light spectacle illuminated the night sky, blending the mysterious ice and snow landscape with a dazzling, dreamlike light show. A drone fleet performed intricate formations, painting various characters and patterns across the darkened heavens. Beyond the visual displays, tourists could also drill through the ice to cast their lines and experience the unique pleasure of winter fishing.
