The Cyberspace Administration of China has conducted inspections into how mobile applications, including mini-programs, collect and utilize personal user data, issuing a public notice on identified issues.

Among the apps cited in the notice, the NetEase Cloud Reading application was flagged for failing to provide users with an effective account cancellation function.
