Ahead of the annual International Consumer Rights Day, efforts are being made to boost consumer confidence and promote collaborative governance in consumer rights protection to create a safer consumption environment. Sina Finance, in partnership with the consumer complaint platform HeiMao, has launched a 2026 consumer rights protection campaign.

Recently, HeiMao released its 2025 digital products red and blacklist rankings. Apple Inc. appeared on the blacklist due to a zero response rate to consumer complaints. On the HeiMao platform, consumer disputes involving Apple primarily revolve around product quality, after-sales responsiveness, and payment security. Consumers often face difficulties in protecting their rights when purchasing Apple's digital products, frequently encountering issues such as manufacturing defects, lack of transparency in official inspections, and repeated refusals for refunds related to large unauthorized purchases made by minors.

Recommendations from the platform include purchasing Apple products through official channels whenever possible and recording unboxing videos as evidence upon receipt. If problems arise regarding quality control, battery performance, or after-sales service, consumers should contact Apple directly while also submitting a complaint through HeiMao to facilitate a swift resolution. Refunds for unauthorized purchases by minors are particularly challenging; parents are advised to secure evidence immediately upon discovering suspicious activity, file a claim through official channels with clear reasoning, and if unsuccessful, promptly submit a detailed complaint with evidence to HeiMao. Additionally, configuring secure payment settings on devices is recommended as a preventive measure.
