BlackBerry Raises Lower End of Annual Revenue Forecast on Strong Cybersecurity Demand

BlackBerry on Thursday raised the lower end of its fiscal 2026 revenue forecast, citing robust demand for its cybersecurity software as businesses increase spending to counter increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

Growing digital threats and the rising complexity of AI-driven vulnerabilities are fueling demand for security solutions, benefiting companies like BlackBerry that have transitioned from hardware to software and services.

The company now expects fiscal 2026 revenue to be between $531 million and $541 million, compared with its previous forecast of $519 million to $541 million.

For the third quarter ended November 30, revenue reached $141.8 million, surpassing analysts' average estimate of $137.4 million.

BlackBerry's QNX division, which develops embedded software for automotive systems, continues to expand its footprint. The company stated that over 275 million vehicles worldwide now utilize QNX technology.

Revenue from the QNX division rose 10% year-over-year to $68.7 million in the third quarter.

For the fourth quarter, the company anticipates revenue between $138 million and $148 million, with the midpoint aligning with analysts' expectations of $143.4 million.
