A coordination meeting focused on intellectual property (IP) protection for the "Sweet Taste of Gansu" regional public brand was recently held in Lanzhou. The meeting was jointly convened by the Lanzhou Municipal People's Procuratorate, the Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration, and the Lanzhou Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. The primary goals were to identify key priorities for brand protection, improve the joint working mechanism, and deepen cross-departmental collaboration.
The discussions centered on the current state of brand protection, delving into critical areas such as standardizing brand usage, preventing infringement risks, sharing intelligence leads, coordinating law enforcement, and ensuring quality control at the source. Attendees conducted a detailed review of the "Implementation Opinions on Establishing a Collaborative Protection Mechanism for 'Sweet Taste of Gansu' Brand Intellectual Property." This review involved a comprehensive analysis of the major challenges in brand protection, with each department's roles and responsibilities being clarified. A key outcome was the optimization of the entire workflow, including case referrals, information exchange, and joint action procedures.
Looking ahead, the Lanzhou Municipal Market Supervision Administration will continue to strengthen its collaborative efforts with the procuratorate and agricultural departments. The focus will be on building a complete chain of IP protection for the "Sweet Taste of Gansu" brand. This includes participating in targeted crackdowns on prominent violations, such as the unauthorized use of the "Sweet Taste of Gansu" trademark and false labeling. By intensifying regulatory enforcement and risk prevention, the initiative aims to uphold the brand's reputation, thereby supporting Lanzhou's rural revitalization and the high-quality development of its specialty agricultural industries.
