Huaibei County's Leibu Police Station received an urgent call from a local elderly care center, requesting help for a severely disabled resident whose expired ID card was blocking access to medical reimbursements and subsidies.

The caller, a staff member at Leibu Township's Elderly Care Service Center, explained that Li Moumou, a severely disabled individual from Niudian Village, had been bedridden for a long time and was unable to visit the police station. His ID card had expired, preventing him from processing medical insurance payments and disability living allowance applications. Recognizing the critical nature of the situation, the police station immediately activated a special service channel for such cases.

In response, two officers were dispatched with mobile photo-capturing equipment to the care center. Inside Li's room, they carefully adjusted his position, tidied his clothing, and fine-tuned the camera angle. After several attempts, they successfully captured a compliant ID photo and completed all necessary data entry in under 20 minutes. This swift action resolved a problem that had troubled both the resident and the center for days.

The staff at the center repeatedly thanked the officers, saying, "Your help has truly solved our problem." Since the start of the year, the Leibu Police Station has been consistently improving its services for elderly, severely disabled, and seriously ill individuals who have difficulty moving. Instead of waiting for these residents to come to the station, the police now proactively bring services to their homes, bridging the final gap in public service delivery. This approach has strengthened community ties and enhanced the sense of belonging and security among local residents.
