The sea breeze brings refreshment as the festive occasion arrives, and a full moon rises to illuminate thousands of homes as well as every corner of the wharf. At the oil port company of Shandong Port Qingdao Port, what is round is not only the moon in the sky, but also many "circles" hidden in work posts and daily life. They rotate silently, guarding every line of defense for safe production and also warming the heart of every employee.

Storage tanks safeguard stability

On the full moon of Mid-Autumn Festival, storage tanks are round as well. Row upon row of oil tanks stand quietly, like full moons guarding the port area. We stay at our posts, conduct meticulous inspections, strictly control processes, and protect every inch of tank farm safety. With craftsmanship we safeguard the stable storage of crude oil, and with dedication we embrace family reunion for all. Round tanks, stable operations, safe people.

Marine loading arm sheave wheels maintain balance

The steel wire rope of the marine loading arm runs circle after circle around the sheave wheel. The wheel is not large, yet it bears the weight of an arm tens of meters long. Every time employees pass by during inspections, they look up to check whether the wire rope has jumped its groove and whether the wheel turns smoothly. Keep it steady, and the arm body will not sway, giving confidence for connection. Within the circular track lies the secret of smooth equipment operation.

Valve handwheels tighten safety

Under the pipe rack, inspection workers grip the valve handwheel and turn it round after round. The handwheel is not large, fitting just right in the palm. Once tightened, the pipeline becomes stable. This is an action they repeat hundreds of times every day, and it is also the starting point of safety. Every degree turned by the circular wheel is a measure of responsibility.

Pressure gauge dials read out reassurance

On the circular dial, the pointer sways gently. Employees lean in for a look, and when the value is within range, their hearts feel at ease. That pointer indicates not only pressure, but also a sense of reassurance. Roundness here is a kind of confirmation and also a kind of trust.

Mooncakes convey care

Round mooncakes represent not only family members' longing, but also the company's care for customers. At the loading line of the Guangrao depot area, employees deliver mooncakes to drivers engaged in market pickup operations, allowing drivers far from home to feel warm care.

Elliptical machines spin out life

In the employee activity room, the elliptical machine provided by the company has pedals that turn round after round. Those who finish the night shift come to step on it for a while, sweat, clear their minds, and crush fatigue bit by bit. Life is not only berths and pipelines, but also relaxation and breathing room. Roundness here is the company's care for employees in every little detail, and another rhythm of life.

Full moon over the seaport, circles within the seaport

"Roundness" is the measure of dedication, the warmth of life, and the unspoken deep affection between the port and its employees.
