On September 12, the premiere of a documentary celebrating the 50th anniversary of BOSIDENG was held at the Xinhua News Agency National Financial Information Center in Beijing, following the news release on September 14.

Co-produced by the Xinhua News Agency Brand Office and Xinhua Net, the film titled "50 Years Old, Still Young" weaves together three narrative threads: the personal journey of founder Gao Dekang, the company's growth, and the sweeping changes of the era. It distills five decades of BOSIDENG's relentless focus on the down apparel industry, showcasing pivotal decisions along the way—from Gao Dekang's initial inspiration sparked by reports on Mount Everest, to building the company from just eight sewing machines, and ultimately expanding its footprint across 72 countries through unwavering dedication.

Over the years, BOSIDENG has consistently pushed the boundaries of down jackets, advancing them toward greater technological sophistication, fashion-forward design, and professional excellence. The documentary condenses fifty years of perseverance and transformation into a compelling narrative of commitment and reinvention.

Chu Xuejun, Chairman and Party Secretary of Xinhua Net, noted that the documentary's release goes beyond reflecting on past achievements—it carries profound expectations for the future. He expressed hope that by examining BOSIDENG's half-century trajectory of industrial dedication, deeper discussions could emerge about the willpower, character, and sense of responsibility enterprises need to respond to the call of the times. He emphasized that in the current landscape of both opportunities and challenges, the real economy serves as a vital pillar for high-quality development, and he looks forward to more outstanding enterprises emerging, with more visionary entrepreneurs rooting themselves in industry and forging ahead to inject stronger economic momentum into national development and rejuvenation.

Gao Dekang, Chairman of the National Textile and Garment Chamber of Commerce's Textile and Apparel Association, founder of BOSIDENG, and Chairman and President of the Group's Board, remarked: "Higher than the mountain peaks are the dreams of climbers." For five decades, BOSIDENG has stayed true to its founding principle of "one group of people, one lifetime, one mission," deeply cultivating its core down apparel business. In his view, a company that has thrived for half a century never rests on past laurels; rather, it dares to challenge itself, iterate, and evolve amid market changes, always maintaining an upward trajectory.

"We will remain committed to our core business, leveraging brand leadership, AI empowerment, and high-quality development to steadily march toward the goal of becoming a 'century-old brand and century-old enterprise,' creating value for people's better lives and contributing to building a strong brand nation," Gao stated.

Yao Jingyuan, a renowned economist, special researcher at the State Council Counselors' Office, former Chief Economist and Spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics, offered insights into BOSIDENG's growth story from perspectives of private economy development, manufacturing transformation and upgrading, and corporate long-termism. He believes the documentary's significance extends beyond chronicling a single company's development; it vividly mirrors the broader progress of China's reform and opening-up through the enterprise's five-decade journey. He emphasized that building a real business values long-term commitment. BOSIDENG anchored itself to its core industry, devoted itself to the real economy, meticulously refined its products, and ultimately grew into a Chinese brand with global influence. This dedication offers valuable lessons, and he hopes more enterprises will follow suit, focusing on steady development to drive industrial upgrading and high-quality economic growth.
