Nutanix Inc. (NTNX) shares surged 5.52% during Wednesday's trading session, as the hybrid multicloud computing company reported third-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.47, a substantial beat compared to the consensus estimate of $0.36 and an 11.9% increase from the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter reached $703.1 million, surpassing the $686.4 million forecast and representing a 10% year-over-year growth. Key profitability metrics also impressed, with adjusted operating income soaring to $156.5 million against an estimate of $115.7 million, and the adjusted operating margin expanding to 22.3%.
Management attributed the strong performance to robust bookings, healthy new customer additions, and solid free cash flow. The company also announced a $750 million increase to its share repurchase authorization and provided optimistic guidance, forecasting fourth-quarter revenue between $725 million and $745 million and raising its full-year fiscal 2026 revenue outlook to $2.82-$2.84 billion.
