The launch event for the new five-seat version of the NIO ES8 took place today, featuring a presentation by William Li, the company's founder, chairman, and CEO.

The NIO ES8 five-seat model is built upon NIO's pure electric technology innovations and native space design, offering a spacious cabin area of 7.05 square meters. It achieves an industry-first capability of accommodating five passengers with 21 pieces of luggage. The vehicle features four first-class-style seats, a health-conscious cabin environment, and smart-dimming privacy windows. It is equipped with the Tianqin 8.1.4.2 immersive sound system, 27 speakers, a 15.6-inch AMOLED central control screen, a 21.4-inch Mini LED sky screen, and holds three Dolby certifications.

The ES8 benefits from over a decade of tuning experience across three vehicle generations and innovations in intelligent chassis technology. The five-seat version utilizes extreme lightweight construction and the Shenxing Zunxiang chassis to deliver a flagship-level driving experience. It features the self-developed Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) system, enabling intelligent agile turning and smart terrain modes. The vehicle boasts an industry-leading digital architecture, the high-performance intelligent driving chip Shenji NX9031, and the AI-oriented full-vehicle operating system SkyOS·Tianshu, providing a rich array of all-scenario intelligent experiences.

The NIO ES8 five-seat model has undergone 72 comprehensive collision validations and comes equipped with 65 active and intelligent safety assistance functions. It possesses industry-leading capabilities in passive safety, intelligent safety, battery safety, and safety redundancy. The vehicle is outfitted with flagship-grade hardware for intelligent assisted driving, along with advanced technical architecture and model algorithms, aiming to deliver a more relaxed and secure assisted driving experience.

Regarding pricing, the Five-Seat Executive Luxury version starts at 382,800 yuan for the full vehicle purchase option and 274,800 yuan for the battery-as-a-service (BaaS) purchase option. The Five-Seat Executive Signature version starts at 422,800 yuan for the full vehicle purchase option and 314,800 yuan for the BaaS purchase option. Deliveries of the NIO ES8 five-seat model are scheduled to begin on July 10th.
