Brent Crude Surpasses $100 as Trump Faces Two Remaining Options in the Middle East

Brent crude oil futures for July delivery have climbed above the $100 per barrel mark for the first time since May 26, following threats from the Trump administration to strike Iranian infrastructure in response to attacks on two Saudi vessels in the Red Sea by Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

US Treasury yields are currently surging, pushing market expectations for the Federal Reserve's monetary policy decisively toward a hawkish stance.

Adam Crisafulli, founder and president of market research firm Vital Knowledge Media, stated in an interview: "Trump now has just two choices in the Middle East: either a massive military escalation, such as deploying ground forces, or reaching some form of settlement through negotiation. Given Trump's extreme reluctance to choose the former, a negotiated outcome remains the most probable conclusion."

The situation underscores the delicate balance in global energy markets as geopolitical tensions continue to drive volatility in crude oil prices.
