China Suntien Green Energy Corporation Limited released preliminary operating data for the first quarter of 2026, highlighting softer output from its core wind portfolio and a marked contraction in gas volumes. Key takeaways follow:

New-Energy Segment • Consolidated power generation reached 4.36 million MWh, a 4.10% year-on-year (YoY) decline. • On-grid power generation totalled 4.25 million MWh, down 4.27% YoY. • The average on-grid tariff (ex-tax) fell 5.60% YoY to RMB 0.41 per kWh.

Generation mix and regional trends • Wind contributed 4.27 million MWh (-4.29% YoY), while solar added 0.09 million MWh (+6.31% YoY). • Hebei remained the dominant wind province at 3.24 million MWh (-1.83%). • Notable growth came from Heilongjiang (+30.28%) and Jiangxi (+27.99%), partially offsetting double-digit declines in Shanxi (-32.72%), Shandong (-30.23%) and several southern provinces.

Gas Segment • Total transmission and sales volume amounted to 1.52 billion m³, a 17.46% YoY reduction. • Gas sales dropped to 1.37 billion m³ (-18.33%), comprising wholesale 0.69 billion m³ (-22.77%), retail 0.45 billion m³ (-13.68%), CNG 0.01 billion m³ (-9.18%) and LNG 0.02 billion m³ (-12.64%). • Gas transported on behalf of clients totalled 0.15 billion m³, down 8.40% YoY.
