Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (Fosun Pharma) announced that its wholly owned unit, Suzhou Erye Pharmaceutical, has obtained National Medical Products Administration approval to market Polyethylene Glycol (3350) and Electrolytes Powder in mainland China.

The powder formulation, registered as a Category 3 chemical drug under approval number Guo Yao Zhun Zi H202654072, is indicated for: 1. Treatment of chronic constipation in children aged 1–11 years. 2. Treatment of faecal impaction in children from 5 years of age.

Development outlays for the product totaled approximately RMB2.62 million as of June 2026. According to IQVIA CHPA data, mainland‐China sales of comparable polyethylene glycol electrolyte powders reached about RMB598 million in 2025, underscoring a sizeable addressable market.

Management expects the newly approved therapy to broaden Fosun Pharma’s pediatric gastrointestinal portfolio. Nevertheless, future commercial performance will depend on market demand, competitive dynamics and distribution capabilities, factors that may create variability in actual sales outcomes.
