VF Corp's stock fell 5.26% during intraday trading on Wednesday, reversing earlier pre-market gains as investors reacted to the company's mixed fourth-quarter earnings results.
The apparel maker reported an adjusted loss of 2 cents per share for the quarter ended March 31, missing the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of 1 cent per share. This earnings disappointment came despite the company posting revenue of $2.17 billion, which exceeded Wall Street expectations of $2.13 billion and represented a 1% increase from the same period last year.
VF Corp's quarterly performance included a reported loss of $119.28 million, or 30 cents per share. The company noted that mean earnings estimates had fallen by approximately 15.9% over the previous three months, indicating deteriorating analyst sentiment ahead of the earnings release.
