In a "Colorful Classroom" session of the China-ASEAN Colorful Smart Academy, Luo Ziyao, a full-time lecturer from the School of Digital Economy and Finance at Guizhou University of Commerce, delivered a course on International Finance (Bilingual) to students across ASEAN nations through a screen.

This course has become a "blockbuster hit" on the platform. "We break down the complex international financial system into visual diagrams, combining teacher-led lectures with real-world case studies and periodic quizzes. This helps students not only grasp global financial trends but also build practical professional skills, truly cultivating compound financial talent with an international perspective," Luo explained. Late last year, the course was selected for the first batch of the "China-ASEAN 'Education+' Innovative Model Digital International Online Quality Course List."

Digital transformation has become the core engine driving global educational reform and high-quality development. Nations are leveraging digital technology to provide equitable access to quality educational resources and bridge the "last mile" of lifelong learning. As the permanent host of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, Guizhou has seized the opportunity for digital education cooperation between the two sides. Leveraging its deep advantages in big data, the province officially launched the China-ASEAN Colorful Smart Academy on August 23, 2022.

The academy aims to advance MOOC resources and platform construction for higher education and vocational training between China and ASEAN, explore cross-border digital education and digital skills certification applications, and promote "micro-credential + credit bank" initiatives. This effort continuously expands the boundaries of digital education, injecting Guizhou's momentum into building a new landscape for China-ASEAN digital education cooperation.

These efforts have already yielded substantial results. Data shows that the China-ASEAN Colorful Smart Academy has now gathered over 350 multilingual course resources and launched a STEM special resource library covering virtual training, intelligent teaching tools, and other diverse content. A total of 112 institutions have joined the platform, which has supported over 300 international conferences and more than 430 exchange projects, serving 16,000 guests of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. A regional digital education "resource hub" has taken shape, continuously offering free or discounted high-quality educational services to ASEAN countries.
