Arista Networks (ANET) stock soared 13.10% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, extending a powerful rally that began after the bell on Tuesday. The surge was fueled by the company's second-quarter earnings report, which significantly exceeded Wall Street's expectations, and an optimistic forecast that underscored the insatiable demand for AI-driven networking infrastructure.

The company reported adjusted earnings of $1.02 per share on revenue of $3.04 billion for the second quarter, smashing analyst estimates of $0.89 per share and $2.83 billion, respectively. The stellar results were driven by robust demand for its high-speed Ethernet switches and AI networking platforms, as hyperscale cloud providers and enterprises continue to build out massive AI data centers. CEO Jayshree Ullal highlighted that customers view networking as the "central nervous system" for AI infrastructure, cementing Arista's role as a critical beneficiary of the AI supercycle.

Looking ahead, Arista provided third-quarter revenue guidance of approximately $3.3 billion and adjusted earnings per share between $1.06 and $1.08, both well above the consensus estimates of $2.94 billion and $0.92, respectively. The strong outlook was supported by the launch of new 1.6 Tbps AI fabric platforms and easing component supply constraints. Following the results, several Wall Street analysts raised their price targets, with JPMorgan and TD Cowen both lifting their targets to $250, reflecting increased confidence in the sustainability of Arista's AI-driven growth trajectory.
