Market Buzz: Robotera Eyes Hong Kong Listing With Up to HK$7.8 Billion Fundraise

Sources familiar with the matter indicate that Beijing-based embodied intelligence company Robotera, also known as Beijing Xingdong Jiyuan Technology Co., Ltd., is planning an initial public offering (IPO) in Hong Kong, aiming to raise between $800 million and $1 billion, equivalent to roughly HK$6.24 billion to HK$7.8 billion. The deliberations are still in progress, and specifics such as the fundraising scale could shift.

Robotera has not issued a formal response to these reports. According to the company's official website, Robotera was established in August 2023 and stands as the sole equity-held embodied intelligence enterprise affiliated with Tsinghua University. The founder is Chen Jianyu, an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at Tsinghua University.

In July of last year, Robotera announced the completion of its Series A funding round, securing nearly RMB 500 million, and has since achieved scaled product delivery. Notably, nine of the world's top ten technology companies by market value are counted among Robotera's clientele.

Reports also suggest that in April of this year, the company finalized a $200 million financing round led by SF Group, with participation from prominent investors including HSG, IDG Capital, and Hillhouse Investment. Currently, Robotera's products are deployed in the logistics sector, with ongoing expansion efforts targeting the automotive, electronics, and service industries.
