Hong Kong-based digital bank Mox Bank Limited has announced the appointment of former Standard Chartered managing director Philip Wong (王彦培) as its new Chief Commercial Officer, effective September 18.

In his new role, Philip Wong will oversee product development, brand management, marketing, business analytics, and customer experience at Mox. He will lead the bank's next phase of growth and further advance its wealth management business, while also continuing to enhance Mox's digital banking experience to help customers manage daily finances and build wealth more easily.

With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Philip Wong brings deep expertise across wealth management, insurance, retail banking, investment banking, and securities. Prior to joining Mox, he served as a managing director at Standard Chartered, where he focused on customer experience in the Chinese market and led the development of global wealth management AI advisory solutions. He has also held senior leadership roles at several international financial institutions with operations across multiple markets, and previously founded a fintech enterprise.
