Tanwan repurchases 144,200 shares for HK$2.30 million, reducing free-float by 0.03%

On 4 May 2026, Tanwan Inc., a Cayman-incorporated company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX: 09890), bought back 144,200 ordinary shares on the Exchange under its existing share-repurchase mandate.

The shares were acquired at prices ranging between HK$15.50 and HK$16.25, translating into a volume-weighted average price of approximately HK$15.96 per share and an aggregate consideration of HK$2.30 million. All repurchased shares have been retained as treasury shares.

Post-transaction, Tanwan’s issued share capital (excluding treasury shares) fell by 0.03% to 522.29 million shares, while treasury shares rose to 12.15 million. The company’s total issued share count remains unchanged at 534.44 million shares.

The buyback forms part of the mandate approved on 19 June 2025, which authorises the repurchase of up to 53.31 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now total 10.77 million shares, equivalent to 2.02% of the issued shares outstanding on the mandate’s approval date. In line with listing rules, Tanwan is subject to a moratorium on new share issues or treasury share disposals until 3 June 2026.
