Bulletin Express
07/14

Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) expects a sharp profitability rebound for the six months ended 30 June 2026, driven by booming demand for next-generation optical fibre and cable products.

Net profit outlook • YOFC’s finance department forecasts net profit attributable to shareholders at RMB2.40–3.00 billion, up RMB2.10–2.70 billion year on year, translating into a surge of 711%–914% from the RMB0.30 billion recorded in the first half of 2025. • Excluding non-recurring items, underlying profit is projected at RMB2.00–2.60 billion, a jump of 1,349%–1,784% versus RMB0.14 billion a year earlier.

Prior-year baseline For the first half of 2025, YOFC posted: • Total profit: RMB0.39 billion • Net profit attributable to shareholders: RMB0.30 billion • Core net profit (ex-non-recurring): RMB0.14 billion • Earnings per share: RMB0.39

Drivers of the turnaround Management attributes the expected earnings surge to: 1. Accelerated build-out of computing-power data centres, boosting global and domestic demand for advanced optical fibre and cable. 2. Continued tightening of industry supply–demand dynamics, supporting pricing and margins. 3. Expansion in overseas markets and a broadened core customer base, which, coupled with an optimised product mix, has strengthened overall profitability.

Next steps and cautionary note The announced figures are preliminary and unaudited. Finalised interim results for H1 2026 will be released in due course. Investors are advised to monitor subsequent disclosures for confirmed data.
