According to data from CRIC released for July 2026, the sales performance of the top 100 real estate companies by operational sales amount reached 1,591.82 billion yuan, a year-on-year decline of 14.6%. Analyst Tu Lilei from Guotai Junan Securities noted that July entered the traditional off-season, with expectations for continued recovery in key city markets. Developers are expected to strengthen marketing efforts, and the decline in sales performance for major property firms is likely to narrow further.
JP Morgan released a research report stating that the property sector surged about 5% yesterday, but there was no clear industry-specific news. The bank suggested that the market may have been stimulated by news of a five-year urban renewal plan, but that plan was actually announced in May 2026 and is not new information. The estimated investment of 15 trillion yuan has also been repeatedly mentioned. Without new news or clear catalysts, the bank expects this rebound to be only short-lived.
