Shares of Verisk Analytics (VRSK) plunged 5.11% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, erasing early gains after the company released its second-quarter 2026 financial results. The decline came despite the company reporting adjusted earnings and revenue that surpassed Wall Street expectations.

For the second quarter, Verisk posted adjusted earnings of $1.98 per share, beating the IBES estimate of $1.93. Revenue reached $806 million, also topping the consensus estimate of $804.1 million. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $464 million, exceeding the $457.4 million forecast. However, the company’s full-year revenue outlook of $3.19 billion to $3.24 billion may have fallen short of some investor expectations, contributing to the sell-off.

Additionally, Verisk announced the acquisition of McKenzie Intelligence Services, a geospatial intelligence firm specializing in catastrophe event analysis. The company stated the deal is not expected to materially impact its financial results, but the acquisition expense and integration timeline may have added to cautious sentiment around the stock.
