GIGADEVICE's shares surged over 10% in early trading. As of press time, the stock was up 8.12% to HKD 89.2, with a trading volume of HKD 497 million. The surge follows a significant rally in memory chip stocks. On Tuesday, Micron Technology's stock soared over 19%, making it the second company among the top three memory chip makers, after Samsung Electronics, to achieve a market capitalization exceeding one trillion dollars. Early Wednesday, SK Hynix followed Micron's lead, also surpassing the one trillion dollar market cap threshold. Notably, UBS issued a report sharply raising its price target for Micron from $535 to $1,625, implying a market cap of up to $1.8 trillion. Additionally, endorsement from former U.S. President Donald Trump contributed to Micron's sharp price increase. It is also noteworthy that Changxin Technology's IPO application for the STAR Market is scheduled for review on May 27. According to the IPO prospectus, GIGADEVICE currently holds a 1.8% stake in Changxin Technology. Furthermore, GIGADEVICE's Chairman, Zhu Yiming, also serves as the Chairman of Changxin Technology. According to a GIGADEVICE announcement, between May 11 and May 25, Chairman Zhu Yiming reduced his holdings in GIGADEVICE by approximately 6.3299 million shares via centralized bidding and block trades, representing about 0.90% of the company's total shares.
