During a media dialogue following the LEAPMOTOR D19 launch event, LEAPMOTOR founder, Chairman, and CEO Zhu Jiangming, along with senior executives, addressed a question regarding NIO CEO William Li's previous comment suggesting to "forget MPVs." Zhu Jiangming stated that demand for various vehicle types will continue to exist. He noted that while the MPV segment is indeed experiencing growth, the pace is not rapid. From a broader perspective, different vehicle categories will coexist in the future.

Regarding SUVs, Zhu indicated they are developing in two directions: compact models like the A-series, which serve as secondary or tertiary family vehicles—a common practice in many developed countries—and larger vehicles designed to meet the travel needs of the entire family. He added that traditional A-segment and B-segment sedans, previously chosen as balanced options under limited economic conditions, will increasingly polarize as household finances improve and car ownership becomes more accessible. Even with the widespread adoption of autonomous driving, Zhu believes shared Robotaxis will tend toward smaller sizes, while personal family vehicles will continue to favor larger dimensions.
