Virscend Education Company Limited announced a share repurchase on 20 July 2026, acquiring 4.80 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HKD 0.189 and HKD 0.192 per share. The volume-weighted average purchase price stood at HKD 0.19159, bringing the total cash consideration to HKD 0.92 million.
Following the transaction, the company’s issued share capital excluding treasury shares fell by 0.16 % to 3.07 billion shares, down from 3.07 billion previously. Treasury shares increased to 22.28 million from 17.48 million, while the overall issued share count remained unchanged at 3.09 billion shares, as the repurchased stock is being held in treasury.
The buyback was executed under the mandate approved on 23 January 2026, which authorises the company to repurchase up to 308.88 million shares. Cumulative repurchases under this mandate now total 22.28 million shares, representing 0.72 % of the issued share capital on the mandate date.
A 30-day moratorium on new share issues or treasury share disposals is in effect until 19 August 2026, in line with Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules.
