The cumulative amount of electricity fed into the national grid from the Tianwan Nuclear Power Base, located in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, has now exceeded 500 billion kilowatt-hours, delivering substantial carbon reduction benefits.
The Tianwan Nuclear Power Base is planned to host eight nuclear power units, each with a capacity of one million kilowatts. At present, six of these units are already operational and generating power, with the remaining two currently under construction. Upon the completion of all eight units, the base is set to become a major clean energy hub for the East China region.
