Guangzhou has issued an implementation plan to promote the high-quality development of its artificial intelligence industry. The plan proposes supporting various innovators through mechanisms such as "unveiling top-ranking projects" to tackle key technologies across the entire industrial chain, including basic theory, computing power, data, algorithms, and applications. Key priorities include making breakthroughs in the adaptation of domestically produced AI computing chips and dynamic scheduling technology for heterogeneous computing resources, with the goal of building a self-controlled and secure intelligent computing center architecture. The plan also aims to advance the development of key technologies for vertical large models, accelerate breakthroughs in embodied intelligence—such as multi-modal perception for robotics and bionic dexterous hands—as well as key technologies for intelligent unmanned systems. Support will be provided for R&D and product development in areas including smart sensors, EDA design and simulation tools, core materials, advanced processes, and critical equipment.
