WEBTOON Entertainment Inc. (WBTN) experienced a pre-market plunge of 11.63% on Wednesday, following the release of disappointing fourth-quarter financial results and below-expectations guidance for the current quarter.
The digital comics and books platform reported a 6% decline in Q4 revenue to $330.7 million, missing analyst projections. The revenue drop was driven by decreases in paid content, advertising, and intellectual-property adaptations. Additionally, the company's net loss widened significantly to $307.6 million, primarily due to goodwill impairments.
Investor concerns were further heightened by weak Q1 2026 revenue guidance of $317 million to $327 million, substantially below the $353 million analysts were expecting. This combination of poor quarterly performance and cautious near-term outlook contributed to the sharp stock decline in pre-market trading.
