September 15th evening - At the recent "DiDi Open Day: Pet Travel Turns 1" themed event, DiDi Global Inc. announced that nearly 4 million pets have registered profiles to date, while simultaneously launching its pet-friendly map service.

To help pet owners solve the challenge of "traveling with pets," DiDi Global Inc. continues to expand its "destination+" scenarios, enabling users to take ride-hailing services with their pets directly to pet-friendly locations. Users can open the DiDi app or mini-program, enter the pet travel homepage, and see location category icons. Clicking on these icons leads to the pet-friendly map list page. Currently, DiDi's pet-friendly map is being piloted in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu, featuring over 3,000 stores and partnerships with more than 100 pet-friendly establishments.

At the open day event, Ma Linxi, head of DiDi's pet travel business, explained: "DiDi pet travel services are committed to creating a 'pet-friendly, no-refusal' transportation environment. To date, nearly 4 million furry companions have registered pet profiles, with cats accounting for approximately 25% and dogs approximately 71% of pet travel orders."

In September 2024, DiDi piloted its pet express service, now available in over 300 cities nationwide, while pet private car services have launched in 49 cities. Over the past year, DiDi pet travel services have continuously optimized the user experience: adding pet quantity notation features to accommodate multi-pet families; piloting pet-friendly map functionality in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu; and launching a thank-you tip feature that allows users to show appreciation to attentive drivers with red envelopes, encouraging more drivers to participate in pet-friendly services.

Yang Shuo, General Manager of Passengers for DiDi's ride-hailing platform, stated: "DiDi has consistently expanded service scenarios, launching services such as senior-friendly rides, charter services, pet travel, and overseas travel, providing transportation solutions for more specific travel scenarios including pet owner outings, family trips, international travel, and senior citizen transportation."
