China and Vietnam exhibited the strongest growth in passenger numbers.
In the third quarter of 2025 (July–September), Changi Airport welcomed 17.3 million passengers, representing a 3.1% increase compared to the previous year.
Aircraft movements, encompassing both landings and take-offs, remained stable at 91,600 during the quarter.
The top five markets for Changi Airport in this period were China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and India. Among the top ten markets, China and Vietnam saw the most significant growth, with passenger numbers increasing by 9.7% and 11.3%, respectively.
The most popular city routes included Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bangkok, Denpasar (Bali), and Shanghai, particularly with the Singapore–Jakarta route experiencing double-digit growth.
On the cargo side, Changi Airport handled 531,000 tonnes of airfreight in Q3, marking a 3.7% year-on-year increase. Imports surged by 10% compared to 2024 levels, despite ongoing global trade uncertainties. The leading air cargo markets were China, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, and India.
Changi Airport's expanding network now includes new services from Hainan Airlines, which initiated a four-times-weekly Singapore–Haikou–Changchun route on 22 September, and Loong Air, which started three-times-weekly flights to Zhangjiajie from 9 October.
Additionally, Batik Air Malaysia will commence daily flights to Ipoh, Penang, and Subang from 8 December 2025, with operations transitioning to Terminal 4 starting 11 November to support the airline's growth.
As of 1 October 2025, Changi Airport operates approximately 7,000 weekly flights connecting Singapore to over 160 cities across 50 countries.
