An X account posted: "According to The Information, Starlink is implementing substantial price cuts and providing hardware free of charge to distribution partners. These measures are being rolled out ahead of SpaceX's planned IPO and the launch of Amazon's Kuiper satellite system, with the aim of securing customers before competition intensifies."
Elon Musk responded: "This has nothing to do with Kuiper. We simply want to make Starlink more affordable and accessible to a broader user base. The lower the cost, the more it can benefit people with poorer economic conditions, especially in developing countries."
