Every Friday afternoon, the "Sunrise Left-Behind Children's Home" in Fenghuang Community, Chengjia Town, Gongjing District, Zigong, Sichuan, comes alive with activity. Dozens of children, backpacks in tow, stream into the two 85-square-meter storefronts. Some come to paint, others play chess, and many quietly immerse themselves in books. At the entrance stands 79-year-old Huang Caiyi, affectionately known as the "silly old man," who smiles and calls out, "Slow down, slow down, there's plenty of time!" This scene has been a constant for 21 years.

Moved by the lack of care and companionship for left-behind children, Huang Caiyi made the decision to reclaim his family's storefront. Despite forgoing an annual rental income of 5,000 yuan, he chose to establish a public welfare center for these children. As a Communist Party member with six decades of service, his commitment to this cause has remained unwavering and steadfast.
