Vicor Corporation's stock price surged 5.60% during pre-market trading on Tuesday.
The significant upward movement follows the company's announcement that it has revised its second-quarter 2026 revenue guidance upward to $142 million from a previous forecast of $126 million. According to the company, the increase is driven by rising product revenue and royalty upside.
The improved outlook reflects royalties from an additional OEM licensee for Vicor's patented power system technology, which covers Factorized Power and Vertical Power Delivery. CEO Patrizio Vinciarelli cited import exclusion orders related to patent infringement as a driver of demand for the company's all-inclusive licensing model.
