ZDNet Korea reported that Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have scheduled mass production and shipments of 8-layer HBM4 for NVIDIA around Q2 next year.

An industry source said NVIDIA plans to outfit Rubin Ultra NVL rack-scale systems with 8-layer HBM4; while 12-layer HBM4 remains the priority this year, the source expects the share of 8-layer HBM4 to rise sharply from mid-next year.
