Shenzhen Expressway Corporation Limited (00548) and Shenzhen International Holdings Limited (00152) jointly announced that Shenzhen Expressway completed several structured deposit subscriptions with Jiangsu Bank within a 12-month period, resulting in an aggregate transaction size that surpasses 5% but remains below 25% under the applicable regulatory ratios. These transactions thus qualify as a discloseable transaction under Chapter 14 of the Listing Rules.

According to the announcement, Shenzhen Expressway initially subscribed to two principal-guaranteed, floating-rate deposits of RMB500 million each in late July 2025. Subsequently, the company subscribed in October and November 2025 to four additional principal-guaranteed, floating-rate deposits (Phases III to VI), each valued at RMB50 million. All structured deposits offer varying terms in the range of 48 to 64 days and target returns between 1.2% and 2.3%, depending on each product’s specific terms.

The funds for these subscriptions originate from a portion of the temporarily idle proceeds from the company’s A-share issuance earlier in the year. Shenzhen Expressway management believes that these short-term investments help optimize fund utilization and preserve the value of unused capital, all while ensuring minimal risk exposure and no impact on planned capital allocation. Since the subscriptions with Jiangsu Bank were completed within 12 months and exceed the 5% threshold in the aggregate, the transaction triggers reporting and announcement requirements but does not require shareholder approval.
