AMS TRANSPORT (00077) announced its interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2025. The company recorded revenue of HK$214 million, a year-on-year increase of 6.35%. However, it reported a loss attributable to shareholders of HK$820,000, compared to a profit of HK$6.909 million in the same period last year, marking a shift from profit to loss. Basic loss per share stood at HK$0.003.
According to the latest transport figures released by the Transport Department, passenger volume in Hong Kong's green minibus industry rose by 2.3% year-on-year for the five months ended August 31, 2025. The group's franchised public light bus services saw a similar increase, with passenger volume growing approximately 2.9% year-on-year to around 28.5 million trips.
The company attributed improved operational capacity to the government's imported labor scheme, which facilitated the onboarding of mainland Chinese drivers, alleviating labor shortages on certain routes. As a result, total mileage during the period increased by approximately 1.3 million kilometers, or 7.8%, to 17.9 million kilometers compared to the previous period.
