Tang Organization Becomes New Sponsor of Suntec REIT

Tang Organization Pte. Ltd. announced its appointment as the new sponsor of Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust (Suntec REIT). The change follows the completion of the group’s acquisition of 100% interests in ESR Trust Management (Suntec) Limited, the REIT manager, and its associated property management entities.

The Tang Family, comprising Mr Gordon Tang, Mrs Celine Tang and other family members, now collectively hold about 36% of Suntec REIT’s units, making them the largest unitholder group.

Tang Organization stated that the existing management and operational teams of the REIT manager and property managers will remain in place to ensure continuity of operations.

The sponsor will work with the manager to conduct a comprehensive strategic review focused on portfolio optimisation, disciplined asset recycling and enhanced capital efficiency, with the goal of maximising returns and supporting higher future distributions for all unitholders.

Tang Organization highlighted its integrated real estate capabilities—supported by SingHaiyi Group Pte. Ltd. and Global Resources Construction Ltd—as key resources to drive sustainable long-term growth for the REIT.
