BRETON (01333) saw its shares climb more than 5% in late trading. At the time of writing, the stock was up 2.81%, trading at HKD 25.6, with a turnover of HKD 23.689 million.

Recently, the official listing of Xidi Zhijia on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has drawn widespread industry attention to the autonomous electric mining truck sector.

Data indicates that the company focuses on the research and development of autonomous electric trucks for closed environments, V2X technology, and intelligent perception solutions.

Industry data shows that China's shipments of unmanned electric mining trucks are expected to reach approximately 1,400 units in 2024, with projections to increase to 5,500 units by 2026.

The industry widely regards 2025 as the "year of scaled application and volume growth" for unmanned electric trucks in mining operations.

At a recent product launch event, BRETON officially introduced a specialized mining truck developed specifically for unmanned driving scenarios.

From its structure and steer-by-wire system to the electric drive platform and overall vehicle control logic, the truck has been completely re-engineered from the ground up to meet the demands of unmanned operations.

This signifies that BRETON views autonomous driving as a foundational capability for future mining equipment, rather than just an additional feature.

Previously, BRETON's Chairman, Chen Fangming, stated in an exclusive interview that starting from 2026, the company will vigorously promote its unmanned driving and smart mining business.
